It's free!

One man's trash is another man's treasure!

CoBiz.com is a community business hub, which provides a platform for its Members to exchange their unwanted goods and unused services for something valuable in their own area.
Almost every household has some items in their house, which they consider as junk. However, there are many people who are in dire need of such items. In exchange they are willing to provide certain services, such as painting or decorating or to barter some items that they own.
Similarly many people who have skills which are in demand, such as writing, translation and many other IT related talents but their circumstances don't allow them to work full-time or part-time for an employer. CoBiz.com provides such people an opportunity to utilise their unused skills and help other community members. In exchange they are rewarded in kind with a product or service of their own choice.
The CoBiz.com system has been made easy to use. It doesn't require Members to have any special IT skills to post products and services on CoBiz.com. Members are allocated a private account area where they can manage their products and services, communicate with other Members and discuss their products and services. Once they agree with each other's terms they exchange their goods and services.
CoBiz.com doesn't charge its Members any fees at any point in time. In other words, all the services of CoBiz.com are free of charge. Also CoBiz.com doesn't ask its Member to provide any credit card details.
At the moment the services of CoBiz.com are available only in the USA and the UK. We plan to expand its services in other countries in the near future.
This is, in fact, the re-birth of CoBiz.com. It used to be a community business directory, which encouraged and promoted all forms of community-owned and controlled enterprises throughout the world. There were more than 60,000 members from all around the world, registered with CoBiz.com.
CoBiz.com did well for a few years but unfortunately we were forced to shut it down due to spammers. Since access to the site was open to community members all over the world, spammers and scammers abused it and bombarded it with loads of junk and spam to the extent that the hosting company closed our account. We hired a couple of developers to fix the issues but soon we realized that it was beyond repair and the best option was to start it again from scratch.
Now the business model of CoBiz.com has been revamped. It is hoped that it will once more be as popular and useful for the community as it was in its first phase. Please feel free to contact us on mail [at] cobiz [dot] com should you require any further information or wish to send us your feedback.
